Established in 1964
T W White and Sons stands as one of the UK’s longest-running Mazda dealerships, now proudly managed by the second and third family generations. We started back in 1964, as a petrol station at a site in Givons Grove, Leatherhead.
1984
Started Representing Mazda
We acquired the Mazda franchise in 1984 and are now one of the longest and largest established dealerships in the United Kingdom. We have always had a passion for their cars, but so have our customers, and when the Mazda RX-8 came out in 2003 we ended up selling more cars as a company than the whole of Scandinavia!
We currently have 4 Mazda sites located across Surrey, London & Kent. Our dealerships in Bookham and Orpington offer new and used sales and aftersales, while our Weybridge Showroom offers new and used sales and our Aftersales facility in Byfleet is fully Mazda accredited.
1987
Acquisition of Weybridge Mazda
In 1987, we acquired Weybridge Mazda, marking it as our third Mazda site and further expanding our footprint in the automotive market.
1990
Effingham Sports Car Showroom Opening
In 1990, we opened our Effingham branch as a specialist sports car showroom. This location would later become home to Suzuki.
1993
Celebrated 10 Years as a Mazda Dealer and Named Mazda Dealer of the Year
In the inaugural event to recognise the top-performing Mazda dealers for sales and customer service, we were honoured to be named Mazda Dealer of the Year.
1994
Started representing Hyundai
In 2013 we moved our aftersales facility to a much bigger more capable purpose built workshop in Byfleet. Although we no longer sell new Hyundai, we are still an Authorised repairer for Hyundai. Our aftersales facility is kitted out with the latest technology, and in addition to Hyundai, is an authorised aftersales facility for Mazda and Kia.
1994
Acquired the Kia Franchise
Our Byfleet Aftersales site is an authorised Kia service and warranty centre. Our Leatherhead Wholesale Parts centre is one of the largest part suppliers of Kia parts nationwide.
1995
Acquired Orpington Mazda
In 1995, we expanded our Mazda network by acquiring Orpington Mazda, becoming our fourth Mazda site.
2007
Purpose-Built Warehouse for Parts Distribution
We acquired a purpose-designed warehouse in Leatherhead to handle both national and local distribution of parts for all the franchises we represent.
2011
Suzuki Franchise Added
Our large, dedicated Suzuki showroom in Effingham houses the whole of the new Suzuki range including the brand new Suzuki Across and the the all-new Suzuki S-Cross. Our dedicated sales team are all fully motability accredited so can assist with any motability enquiries. In order to meet growing demand for Suzuki in Surrey, we have expanded our aftersales facilities at our nearby Bookham branch to help handle the increasing work.
2013
Relocated Byfleet After Sales Department
We relocated our Byfleet after-sales department to a newly designed 22,000-square-foot workshop and bodyshop.
2014
T W White & Sons Confirmed as the UK’s Leading Mazda Dealer
In our milestone year celebrating 50 years of business, we’re proud to have been named the UK’s top Mazda dealer. To mark the occasion, we launched a £10,000 Community Outreach Programme to support charities and local groups.
2016
Weybridge Mazda Sales Recommence
In 2016, our Weybridge showroom saw a significant refurbishment, and with the reintroduction of Mazda sales, we continued our long-standing relationship with Mazda that spans back to 1984.
2017
Marketing Manager Jen Westwood wins 2017 ‘Motor Trader Rising Star’ Award
In 2017, our marketing manager, Jen White, was honoured with an industry award, celebrating her successful launch of our new multi-franchise website and her role in driving best practices throughout our business.

2017
Orpington Mazda Refurbished
We embarked on a significant redevelopment of our Orpington Mazda relocation, revitalising both the sales and aftersales facilities. Despite the extensive renovations, our team’s commitment ensured customers continued to receive the best possible experience. The renovation consisted of a modernised showroom and service area, offering amenities like free WIFI and comfortable seating in our waiting area, designed to enhance the comfort and convenience for both staff and customers.
2018
Sales Executive Daniel Barron wins 2018 ‘Motor Trader Rising Star’ Award
Daniel was recognised for his dedication to excellent customer service, earning him the earned him the ‘Motor Trader Rising Star’ Award in 2018.
Update November 2023: Dan was promoted to Suzuki Sales and Franchise Manager at Effingham.
2022
Bookham Branch Relocation
In 2022, we moved our Bookham dealership from its longstanding Lower Road location to the A246 Guildford Road, Bookham KT23 4HY. This heralded a new era for the Bookham branch, which had been sited on Lower Road for nearly 40 years. The site is conveniently located just 0.5 mile down the road from our Suzuki showroom.
2023
T W White and Sons were once again recognised by Mazda at their annual All-Stars event
Our Bookham branch was honoured at Mazda’s annual All-Stars event for service excellence. This recognition places us at the forefront of Mazda’s 122 UK Dealerships.
