The bold yet refined new Suzuki S-Cross 2022 has now been released, packed with new premium features and advanced safety equipment as standard, leading as one of the best in it’s class. The original Suzuki SX4 was first launched in 2006 where it has made a mark in the compact SUV market for its reliability and practicality over the years. Several face lifts and a generation later, the new Suzuki S-Cross 2022 has arrived in our showroom. It comes with mild hybrid technology, a significantly fresh new look, and plenty of new design features that enhance its presence on the road.

Suitable for long family journeys or nipping around town, the new Suzuki S-Cross is spacious and easy to use, and has an impressive level of specification as standard.

The latest Suzuki S-Cross 2022 comes with mild hybrid technology, alongside a 1.4 Boosterjet turbocharged engine, which benefits from an increased fuel-saving performance whilst creating a dynamic and responsive driving experience. Available in two grades, Motion or Ultra, the Ultra model is paired with ALLGRIP SELECT 4WD which is the only compact SUV available with a manual 4WD Hybrid Powertrain and transmission combination.

 

The new Suzuki S-Cross 2022 styling

The all-new redesigned Suzuki S-Cross boasts new front and rear automatic LED headlights for more natural lighting, reducing glare particularly at night time helping reduce driving fatigue. Repositioned wing mirrors give increased visibility, and completing the confident SUV styling there is a new bold and raised front centre grille, silver anodised aluminium roof rails with an integrated rear spoiler for an aerodynamic smoothness and large angular front and wheel arches are coupled with new 17-inch alloy wheels in a choice of painted* or polished** finish.

Whilst the main body dimensions of the vehicle remain the same as it’s predecessor, the interior cabin is notably more spacious and versatile with high quality interior design. There is plenty of room to get comfortable in the front, back and even the boot as the 60:40 split rear seatback allows for multiple luggage possibilities. Plus, the adjustable rear seatback lets rear passengers adjust their seating angle to their preference, with more leg room as well. Or, they can be folded down entirely to increase cargo space with the tonneau cover neatly stored in the lower boot space.

The 48V Mild Hybrid System

The new S-Cross features a 48V mild hybrid system, an innovative combination of a 1.4 litre Boosterjet turbocharged engine coupled with a 48V self-charging battery. It is compact, lightweight and self-charging so there’s no change to driving style or performance. It uses regenerated energy from deceleration to minimise fuel consumption and enhance driving performance. Meaning, in normal driving conditions, the system lowers fuel consumption by reducing engine torque and compensating with the electric motor.

The mild hybrid system features:

• Engine automatic stop and electric engine restart
• Energy recovery during deceleration and braking
• Electric motor assist with torque boost and torque-fill control
• Electric motor idling (when clutch is disengaged for deceleration)

 

The six shades of S-Cross

The new model is available in 6 different shades, with White as standard. The other 5 metallic paint finishes are; Energetic Red Pearl Metallic, Sphere Blue Pearl Metallic, Silky Silver Metallic, Titan Dark Grey Pearl Metallic, Cosmic Black Pearl Metallic.
