Exterior Design Updates
Sporting all the exterior design features that are recognisably Swift but enhanced, the new Suzuki Swift 2024 brings a refreshed, functional, and stylish look.
The front of the new Swift showcases a redesigned grille with Suzuki’s signature L-shaped LED daytime running lights, giving it a modern look. The grille’s honeycomb pattern adds to the car’s stylish appearance, while the badge placement on the bonnet emphasises its sleek design.
The new Swift includes sculpted bumpers and a roof spoiler, contributing to its dynamic profile. It retains its compact size, ensuring it remains agile, yet boasts strong proportions that give it a solid and confident stance on the road. The Ultra specification specifically stands out with its 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, contributing to it’s sporty look.
Interior Design Enhancements
The interior features several key updates that enhance comfort and functionality. The cabin now features a dual-tone dashboard, adding a premium touch. The new dashboard layout is designed with the driver in mind, with chunky, easy-to-use, buttons to control the temperature and fan speed. All central controls are angled towards the driver, ensuring easy accessibility and enhancing the overall driving experience.
Features
Suzuki’s tagline of “All the tech you need” certainly rings true for the new Suzuki Swift. The car is a compelling choice for drivers who value modern technology, comfort, and convenience with their vehicles. A range of new features have been included to enhance the driving experience contributing both comfort and driver (and passenger) convenience.
Both the Motion and Ultra come with a new 9-inch colour touch-screen display, supporting wireless smartphone connectivity, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and integrates a rearview camera.
Driver convenience features like heated front seats, keyless entry & push button start, and Suzuki Connect are included as standard on the new Swift. The new Suzuki Swift is the latest car in the range to benefit from Suzuki Connect, which provides digitally integrated services, offering remote access to vehicle diagnostics, service reminders, and more which enhances overall convenience.
Electric rear windows have also been added to the lineup to enhance passenger comfort. The rearview camera and parking assist further improve safety and ease when parking and reversing.
For those seeking a more premium experience, the Ultra trim offers that additional bit of luxuary and premium feel. These include automatic air conditioning for consistent cabin temperature and electrically folding door mirrors for added convenience. The Ultra trim also features rear assist grips, a rear heater / air-conditioning vent, and painted door trim accents, all which add to the vehicle’s overall comfort and aesthetic appeal.
All variants of the new Swift retain standard equipment like rear privacy glass, a rear upper spoiler, and adaptive cruise control.
Performance and Efficiency
The most significant upgrade is what is found under the bonnet. The new Swift features a 1.2-litre petrol engine paired with Mild Hybrid Technology. The inclusion of Mild Hybrid technology is a game changer for the Swift’s fuel economy. Drivers can expect impressive fuel efficiency, with a 7% improvement in fuel economy compared to previous models, achieving around 64.2 mpg. Our Suzuki Franchise manager, Dan Barron, explains, “…[I mainly use] the Swift for town driving from here and home. I’m getting about 62 to the gallon, which is pretty insane for a petrol car.”
In addition, the mild hybrid tech significantly reduces CO2 emissions to just 99g/km, making the new Swift an environmentally friendly option. The engine’s maximum torque has increased by 5%, now delivering 112 Nm, and the hybrid system has improved the vehicle’s acceleration, achieving a 0-100 km/h time of 12.5 seconds for the manual version – an improvement of 0.6 seconds over previous models.
Enhanced Safety
Safety is a top priority for the Swift, with a comprehensive suite of features to ensure a confident driving experience. All models come with side impact protection beams, ensuring the vehicle’s rigidity and sturdiness. The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) helps reduce the risk of skidding, providing better control, especially on slippery surfaces. The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) enhances braking performance, ensuring maximum control during sudden stops.
In addition to the ESP and ABS, the new Suzuki Swift is packed with additional advanced safety technologies, often reserved for top spec models, as standard. These include enhanced collision mitigation braking with improved nighttime and intersection visibility, a driver monitoring system, Lane Departure Warning and Prevention, and Traffic Sign Recognition. A blind-spot monitoring system has also been adopted to alert drivers to vehicles in adjacent lanes, adding an extra layer of security.
Additional safety features include Dual Sensor Brake Support, eCall, and High Beam Assist. These technologies work together seamlessly to keep drivers informed and in control, making every journey in the Swift safer and more secure.
For those opting for the Ultra model, an adjustable seatbelt feature is included, providing added comfort for the driver.
All-Wheel Drive with ALLGRIP AUTO
The 2024 Suzuki Swift Ultra model offers the option of an ALLGRIP AUTO all-wheel drive system. This intelligent system automatically engages when the road conditions become difficult, providing improved traction and stability on slippery roads. ALLGRIP AUTO helps you maintain control and drive with confidence. The system distributes engine power to the rear wheels when it detects a loss of grip at the front, requiring no manual intervention.
Exterior Colours
The colour lineup features a total of 13 body paint options with new exciting additions. Cool Yellow Metallic, among the single-tone options, brings an energetic feel to the Swift. Frontier Blue Pearl Metallic is now available as a premium single-tone option.
In the dual-tone range, new combinations include Pure White with Mineral Grey and Cool Yellow with Mineral Grey. Additionally, the premium dual-tone option of Frontier Blue with Super Black provides a striking contrast.
